Nose piercing.....

A few days back ,me and my sister thought of having nose piercing. When told this to mom, she did not appreciate the idea much as she felt that the baby skin is easy to pierce but now as we have grown the skin is not that soft that it can be easily pierced,we might land up in some problems. We convinced her somehow and got it done from a local jeweller .He adviced to apply some antiseptic regularly and did it directly with a nose pin of gold. For a week ,things were fine.It suited both of us and we enjoyed the compliments as well.

After few days i moved to Bangalore and within few days it started hurting and there was redness and a bump too.I ignored it for some days but later it gave me pain and a bump was even inside my nose..

I started with some home treaetment of applying hot mustard oil and turmeric powder, but all in vain. The condition worsened further and i regretted my decision of piercing.

You may think what about my sister?Oh her piercing did not give her any problem and she now sports a diamond stud...

I went to see a doctor then who adviced me to have a minor surgery to get away with the bump.I was scared of that too.So finally after talking to many people i heard of Tea Tree oil .I bought a bottle(Though i faced problems in finding the right one)and applied it for two days, twice and the miracle happened on the third day when i found that their was no bump and the nose was alrite.

Here are some tips for you to get the nose piercing

  • Go to a professional piercer only.
  • Do not get it done with a pin, rather with a thread or a ring.
  • Do not touch your nose much or blow it for few days.
  • Take good care of hygiene.
  • If you see any redness immediately go to the piercer as he can guide you in proper way.
  • Last not the least,if you want piercing done,go have it today as my mom was right to say that as we grow the skin gets hard and then it creates problem.

Hi! I'm having the same problem. I'm trying the tea tree oil, although it doesnt seem to be working. I was wondering where did you get your tea tree oil from? I live in bangalore too. I got mine from Body Shop at Garuda Mall. Please help me out. I'm thinking of trying out the mustard oil and haldi combo. If I do this, is it imperative that I heat the oil? Can I just do it directly with the oil being in room temperature?
